MISS KIM
(PreSchool, Latin Jazz, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern)
Mrs Kimberlie Jones started dancing at the age of 2 ½ in Union NJ. Her studies led her to Metuchen Dance Center in 1996 where she further fostered her love for dance. Kim was an original member of MDC’s Teen Dance Company Dance Reflections by the age of 11. Within a year, she became dance captain of the company, which continued on to a 4 year reign. She was also an original cast member of The Duke Ellington Nutcracker in 1998 and has been cast in almost every role since. You may have most recently seen her perform in the principal role of Clara. When she was 16 she was asked to join the Dawn Lau Dance Company which performed all over NJ and NYC. Kim is a certified dance teacher through Dance Educators of America and has taught in Kearny, Verona and of course, here in Metuchen. Aside from her training at MDC, she has meticulously studied at Princeton Ballet School and in NYC. In 2004 she began teaching and choreographing for Metuchen Dance Centre full time. She is now in her 14th year as a staff member, teaching over 20 hours a week. Her styles span every genre from Ballet to Modern to Latin Jazz.
