Barbara Jude Brady – is a professional dancer who has been on replacement for the Broadway shows Cats and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway and has performed extensively with the New Jersey Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet (NYC), and the NJ State Opera. She has also performed and choreographed for the Cumberland County Playhouse in Tennessee. In NJ, Barbara has produced, directed and/or choreographed over 80 shows and is a Co-founder and President of Mystic Vision Players, a Union County based community Theater Company. She sits on the Union County Cultural & Heritage Programs Advisory Board and is listed in Who’s Who in Entertainment and Who’s Who Among American High School Teachers. A Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Award Nominee and the recipient of numerous NJ ACT Perry Awards for acting, directing, producing and choreographing in Community Theater, Barbara is currently the VP of Dance for the NJ Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NJAHPERD). She has been the Dance Director at Linden High School since 1999 and is also the director of the LHS Dance Company and resident choreographer of the school’s Musical Theater Department. She has been the Ballet Mistress of MDC’s teen dance company, Dance Reflections for the past 3 years and has choreographed 3 pieces for the company, including Illuminations, which won 1st Place at the Beyond the Stars dance competition in April of 2013. In 2012, Barbara was named Dance Teacher of the Year by the NJAHPERD and in February of 2013, she was named the Northeast Dance Educator of the Year by the Eastern District Association. Most recently, Barbara traveled to North Carolina for the AAHPERD National Convention where she placed 2nd as the National Dance Educator of the Year. She is has been happily married for 12 years, is the mother of 3 beautiful children, and absolutely loves her MDC family!
