MISS BRENDA
(Musical Theatre, Pre-Primary)

As a native New Yorker, Miss Brenda was fortunate to have theater and dance at her fingertips. She studied ballet at the Joffrey School of Ballet and also took classes with Melissa Hayden. She performed liturgical dance at a number of NYC churches. In the late '70's, she was stage manager for the revival of Henry Sweet Henry at the Mercer Arts Center in Greenwich Village. After that, Miss Brenda was producer for the musical review Broadway Tonight, which traveled the dinner theater circuit on Long Island. After moving to New Jersey, Miss Brenda became a Kindermusik instructor and found she thoroughly enjoyed teaching in the arts. Another interesting opportunity came Miss Brenda's way when she was privileged to do audio description of theater for the blind at The Forum Theatre. She also discovered another love of writing. Miss Brenda has created original scripts for children, both religious and for our own MDC!
